Technology by the year 2123 is no longer obsolete. Most of our comforts of the modern world do not exist, except for cars, televisions, and basics computers. There are other exceptions, such as kitchen electronics and a few other inventions we'll come across as we role-play. What they have is not as advanced as we have in the modern day. Computers are slower, with less memory, and basic games that no one really plays. Televisions are not high-definition and do not have more than fifty channels. Helicopters and airplanes are restricted to goverment officials, or people with family connections like Reef, which is why he hired a pilot to pick up each of his first students from their homes and fly them to the academy - otherwise they would have no way of getting there. Videogames do not exist. Cars are something most people cannot afford. Music is regulated by the government and anything other than classical is mundane and almost painful to listen to.
The government, however, has technology that is over a century more advanced than we know today, such as computers that moniter the globe, hoverboards, and most importantly, advanced weapon technologies. Most people even within the governemt to not know the extent of what they have at their disposal. Of course, there is high hopes for the results of operation Edensblut, which I am sure you read about since you pmed me the two passwords. |
