;; toshia ania brodowski was born in kolobrzeg, poland on september twenty-eighth to cyryl and gita brodowski. she has only one sibling, her fraternal twin aleksander.
;; at the age of three her father developed a very serious illness which caused him to need constant care. when it gradually became worse he was placed in an assisted living facility. He and gita decided it was best for the family if they moved on without him- in case he were to die. He asked gita for a divorce the same year.
;; for the next two years she was without a father and she and aleksander became very close to their mother. she taught them many things in those two years and they did everything together. she learned to horseback ride at five, with close supervision from her mother. aleksander didn't show as much interest in horses as tosha did. thanks to her mother her love of horses began.
;; at age six her mother met a man and married him the same here. he was a great father figure for them growing up.
;; at age eight her family decided to move to a less secluded city. being around the comfort of people was better for every one. they moved to glogow where tosha met kyrie, her best friend to this day, a day tosha will never forget. it was in art class and kyrie spilled paint on tosha's new dress. all tosha could do was laugh at kyrie's expression. before long they were finger painting each others faces, clothes, and the table, until their teacher noticed and stopped them. they hit it off instantly and have been best friends since.
;; family is bred into her, it's apart of her and from the age of ten she started noticing mothers and families and wished for the day when she could become a mother. her mother suggested babysitting but she wasn't quite old enough. her mother said she had to wait till she was twelve.
;; as soon as she turned twelve and was old enough to babysit she did. her first babysitting job was for her mothers good friend. she had two children, a boy and a girl, and tosha loved them like her own. the little girl was two and her brother one. they remind her of herself and her brother. babysitting didn't feel like work to her, it felt right - natural. her mothers friend told her she would make a wonderful mother someday and tosha has never forgot that.
;; at the age of thirteen she was riding her horse through the woods. the stirrup got caught on a nearby branch which twisted it, along with her knee. her horse kept walking forward and it was too late before tosha could stop him. it was minor damage that doesn't affect her walking abilities, although in severe cold weather her knee hurts with a sharp pain.
;; as the government became progressively worse her mother and step dad taught aleksander and her everything they needed to know about being self sufficient.
;; right before her twenty third birthday, she packed up to leave her family and the farm for numinis academy. she felt horrible, and still does, for leaving her family there in poland. their encouragement and support for her to go was the only thing that made her feel okay for leaving. her family was strong and they would stick together with or with out her. it still tears her up that she left her brother and she writes him every day - feeling a guilty that she was the one here safe, instead of him. even so, she is determined to make the best of it at the academy, with the help of her friend kyrie and professor reef. while she isn't with them, she sews and finds ways of distracting herself.
